January Book Deals To Bring Joy To Your Reading Life

Published by The Connected Reader on

I’m in my “get books from the library” era, but that doesn’t stop me from browsing a good book deal. Once a month, I’ll share the deals that have caught my eye and a few recommendations to support your shopping. While I’m prioritizing indie bookshops here, I have absolutely zero judgment on where you buy your books. Just read, y’all. Without further ado, January book deals!

Bookshop.org Book Deals

If you aren’t familiar, Bookshop.org is a company that supports independent bookstores to sell online. When you buy a book through the Bookshop.org platform, you can connect your purchase to an independent bookstore, and a portion of the sale goes to that store.

Right now, Bookshop.org has 10% off a selection of Penguin Random House books in two collections: the “Year in Books” and “All Ways Black” titles. Side note: Bookstagrammer @creemyles runs the @allwaysblack account on Instagram and she has the best mix of humor and realness. I highly encourage you to stop what you are doing and follow these accounts. Like, now.

“All Ways Black” Book Sale

Here are a few books I recommend in the “All Ways Black” Sale. Use code AWB10 for the discount!

“Year In Books” Book Sale

Please note: These are affiliate links, so if you purchase a book through these links, The Connected Reader gets a portion of the sale, NOT an independent bookstore. If you want to support an independent bookstore with your purchase, just connect your account to that store so their logo pops up in the top left.

LibroFM Book Deals

Y’all know I love an audiobook because it just makes adulting better. Right now on LibroFM, you can get a free audiobook with the purchase of a new membership. Use code CHOOSEINDIE to do it and pick up one of my favorite audiobooks. I’ll even narrow down the list for you here with my top three.

My Top Three Audiobook Recommendations – Plus a Bonus!

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links, meaning I get a small commission if you decide to make a purchase through my links, at no cost to you. Even if you don’t use the links, I highly recommend checking out Bookshop.org and Libro.fm for access to tons of titles while still supporting an indie bookstore.
